Casey and Caylee Anthony

You’ve probably heard of the Casey and Caylee Anthony Case. Well, it’s almost decided that Casey Anthony murdered her daughter, Caylee. But are the police positive? She went missing on June 9th, but the police weren’t notified until July 15th. They’ve charged her with the cruelty of child neglect, but aren’t positive that she did kill her own daughter. For weeks, protesters were lined up on the street of Casey’s house, with signs consisting of “Baby killer!” or, “Why would you kill a poor baby like me?” in a child hands, and adults.
On October 14th, 2008 Anthony got arrested for first-degree murder, manslaughter, child abuse, and four counts of lying to police offices.
Tim Miller has done almost everything he can do to find Caylee. “I don’t think Caylee will ever be found,” he says to Investigation Discovery, “We have done all that we can do. We have thoroughly searched every inch of the targeted areas. Unfortunately, there is only one person who can bring this to an end and she's not talking."
Is Tim Miller right? Will they ever find Caylee? One thousand and three hundred determined volunteers think so, when they went out on the search for Caylee Anthony on November 8th. They were unsuccessful, but do not intend on giving up.

McCain lost because of George W. Bush. When times are bad, people will almost never elect someone from the party in power. No presidential candidate with the letter R in parentheses at the end of his or her name could possibly win in this election with Bush being president during the recession.

Some people say that Sarah Palin is a factor in McCain's loss. Her approval ratings were lower than that of any vice presidential candidate since then-Senator Dan Quayle in 1988. Despite this, Quayle won. However, only 35% of Americans believe that Palin was treated fairly by the media. Other people, such as Joe Scarborough, political commentator, say that the election would have been a much more distant victory for Obama without Palin on the ticket.

Demographic changes also contributed to McCain's loss. The youth vote has increased substantially, which hurt McCain big-time. Also, increases in the Hispanic population gave votes to Barack Obama.

It's all about money. Obama raised a grand total of 820 million dollars, as opposed to McCain's measly 550 million dollars. Despite claims, 74% of Obama's money came from large donors (those who donated over $200). Another 48% came from donors who donated over 1,000 dollars. Obama also outspent McCain 3-2 on television ads. Overall, McCain was too bland a candidate.

Pal Dances are the shiz.
By: Kayla Irby and Maddy Hill
6th-8th graders, do you know what a P.A.L. dance is? Well, it’s a dance hosted by the Police Athletic League, and is one of the best dances in the local area. It costs ten dollars to get in, and if you are a member, you’ve just lucked out, you get in for free! They are so much fun (worth the ten bucks) and you meet a lot of cool new people from schools in the tri-state area.
Don’t worry parents, the cops are there to watch out for your children. These dances are hosted from 7-10 p.m., most of the time on Fridays and sometimes on Saturdays. They play all of your favorite hit tunes, and there is a snack bar so bring money. If you want to bring a bag or a coat, they have a room where you can put them there and they have people watching your stuff. Make sure you dress accordingly because it gets pretty hot in there. Its in Hockessin Delaware and to get ask any questions about the dances or the P.A.L. go to palde.org. So if I were you, I would consider going to the next upcoming pal dance, I promise, you wont regret it ;]
